An unhappy Kamalika tries to commit suicide but eventually divorces Archi and arranges for his wedding to Baha. Archi slowly falls in love with Baha, realising he considers Kamalika merely a close friend. He continues his engagement to Kamalika Majumdar, a college professor, whose father Dibyojoti Majumder, who also happens to be Baha's biological father. Initially, Archi thinks of Baha as a nuisance. Gradually, she becomes comfortable and happy in the city, living with the Mukherjee family, who also begin to love her cheerful ways.
Baha then comes to Kolkata with Archi as a maidservant. Archi, previously engaged to his girlfriend Kamalika in the city, refuses to recognise the ceremony and asks Baha to decide what she wants to do. On the day of Bidaai, Baha goes to a washroom of a local dhaba to clean away the vermillion from her forehead and opened her shakha pola and all the marriage signs from herself. Though both are innocent, the locals force Archisman to marry Baha. One stormy night Baha is forced to spend the night in the Tourist Lodge in Archi's room. A famous journalist from the city of Kolkata, Archisman Mukherjee, visits Palashboni to interview Satyakam. Baha and her mother Konka had to face a lot of humiliation from her grandmother, who always yelled at her and Konka.
Bahamoni (Baha), who had just completed her 10th standard upon scoring star marks and wants to attend college, is brought up by her mother Konkamoni (Konka) and stepfather Satyakam who is also a tribal activist and leader. The story revolves around the life of an 18 year old tribal love-child Bahamoni Soren from a secluded region called Palashboni in rural West Bengal. On reaching the city, she gets to know that her husband is already engaged to his girlfriend Kamalika. Under forced circumstances, Baha and Archi get married. After running successfully for 4 years, the show went off-air on 13 December 2015 to make way for Potol Kumar Gaanwala. It is the third longest-running Bengali show in Star Jalsha after Star Jalsha's Maa.Tomay Chara Ghum Ashena and Ke Apon Ke Por. It got 16.5 TRP (Highest), which is 4th TRP record of Star Jalsha. Apparently, Ranita Das left the serial in 2014 due to weight issues and Sudipta Chakraborty was cast instead of Ranita till the end of the show. This show was so popular and audience gave a good response, and the show has created a history in the Bengali television industry. The show was launched on 24 October 2011 and went on to become one of the most popular, talked about serials of that time. This is the first serial by Magic Moments Motion Pictures in Star Jalsha as well as the longest running serial by Magic Moments Motion Pictures till today among all of the serials by Magic Moments Motion Pictures. The show was produced by Magic Moments Motion Pictures company.
